The dramaturgy of puppetry is all in the design. The design of a puppet tells a story as much as any narrative. This workshop will introduce participants to different ways of approaching the construction of puppets and lead participants in the constructing of a simple rod puppet and review and practice manipulation techniques.
Taught by Concrete Temple Theatre, a multi-disciplinary company, committed to the creation of compelling new theatrical works, incorporating drama, dance, puppetry, music and the visual arts. Since 2004 they have toured nationally and internationally, presenting works and workshops that address real issues within communities.
