Adapted by Stephan Wolfert and Dawn Stern
From Shakespeare's Henry VI, Parts 1, 2 and 3 and Richard III

In a time when women rarely held power, Margaret of Anjou fiercely protected her husband’s claim to the English throne, even commanding armies during a bloody civil war. Her rise and fall inspired Shakespeare to include her in four plays, giving her more lines than any other woman in his works. Playwrights Stephan Wolfert (best known to Amphibian audiences for 2018’s Cry Havoc!) and Dawn Stern will spotlight Margaret’s story by adapting her scenes from Shakespeare in this world premiere production.
