Northside Hollow by Jonathan Fielding and Brenda Withers

Friday, February 10, 2017 to Sunday, March 5, 2017

Thursdays–Saturdays, 8:00 PM | Sundays, 2:00 PM

Running time is 80 minutes with no intermission.

Trapped underground after a deadly collapse, a miner finds his salvation in the arrival of a young and inexperienced first responder. While they wait for additional rescue assistance, they discover they have more in common than they realize. An intimate portrait of mortality, memory, and redemption, this original play will have its regional premiere at Amphibian Stage Productions.

"Jorgensen and Sobel play off each other nicely, finding all the uncomfortable moments of humor in a grim situation" —Fort Worth Star-Telegram

"Fielding and Withers have created characters and images that won’t easily be forgotten.." —TheaterJones

"The rare, immersive quality of this play draws audiences.." —Fort Worth Weekly

"Even as the men’s talk turns to a meditation on mortality, it’s rooted in the earth rather than the cosmos." —The Boston Globe

"The dialogue dives deep into the heart of our humanity, sparing nothing." —Provinceotwn Banner

Headlamp Seating Section

As you know, the play is set in an underground mine. To experience the true look and feel of a mine, the lighting will be dim and part of the stage will be entirely lit by audience members in the back row who are wearing headlamps! This will be a really cool experience, but only 15 people get to be in this special section. You can purchase tickets online (be sure to select Headlamp Seats instead of General Admission), or by calling or emailing our box office.  (We will give you full instructions at the theater, and these seats will be reserved.)
